Lately I’ve been a little on edge, especially when it comes to being patient. Funny how we often think of ourselves as the most patient person on earth UNTIL that moment when it seems like it’s taking forever for things to happen.
For the past two weeks, maybe even longer, I’ve repeatedly had to do what I now call the Fruit Check! The Fruit Check, is where I analyze the situations I’m currently facing and my reaction to those situations. If you’re still lost or confused about the word Fruit, I’m referring to the Fruit of the Spirit, found in the bible, in Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
I found myself trying to put my two cents in the mix to speed things up. My thoughts were it just shouldn’t take this long to do anything. Not only did I find out how impatient I was, I found out that I wasn’t trusting God to what He said which also meant in His timing.
What I’m trying to say is by being impatient and trying to help God do His job, I was not only in error but my impatience showed lack of faith which caused a delay in my breakthrough. I repented and decided to totally surrender to God so His plan and purpose could unfold in my life.
You might be dealing with something or waiting on God to do a turnaround in your life. I would like to encourage you to keep the faith and continue to trust God to bring you through.
